Prior to joining Bialla as a partner, Karyn Barsa led vibrant premium-brand corporations as a CEO, COO, CFO and as a member of the Board of Directors for publicly traded companies, private companies and non-profit organizations.
Karyn began her career in investment banking in New York City, transitioning to financial leadership in turnaround situations. Eventually, Karyn served as CFO and COO at apparel-maker Patagonia and then as CEO for Smith & Hawken, a multi-channel consumer products company. Her advisory work extends to private companies and non-profits as well, including Newpark Capital (private equity), Beechwood Advisory (mid-market M&A advisory services), The Office of Technology and Venture Commercialization at the University of Utah, and others.
A member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Karyn holds a BA degree in Economics from Connecticut College and MBA from University of Southern California.
Karyn now lives in Park City, Utah, enjoying all that life in the mountains can offer.
